Marvel is planning a new Daredevil tv series

It’s here! Marvel and Netflix have just debuted
the very first look at their upcoming Marvel
Cinematic Universe series, “Marvel’s Daredevil”!
The images, which you can check out below, are
directly inspired by John Romita Jr.’s
illustrations, famously featured in the Frank
Miller miniseries “Daredevil: The Man Without
Fear” (the original is also in the gallery below).
It’s been noted that this is just the first costume,
so it’s probably a safe bet that we’ll be seeing
the more familiar red (and maybe even yellow)
costumes as the series progresses!
Also announced at the New York Comic Con
panel are new cast members Bob Gunton as
Leland Owlsely (better known as The Owl),
Vondie Curtis Hall as reporter Ben Urich, Toby
Leonard Moore as Wesley, Wilson’s Fisk’s right
hand man (a minor character from Miller’s earlier
arc) and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa, the woman
who, in the comics, goes on to become Vanessa
Fisk. They’ve also revealed that Rosario Dawson
will be playing none other than Claire Temple,
Marvel’s Night Nurse!
Also starring Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock),
Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson
(Foggy Nelson), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson
Fisk), “Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of
Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy
but imbued with extraordinary senses, now
fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and
by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern
day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is
Executive Produced by series Showrunner Steven
S. DeKnight (“Spartacus,” “Buffy: The Vampire
Slayer,” “Angel”) and Drew Goddard ( The Cabin
in the Woods , “Lost,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,”
in addition to writing the first two episodes of
“Marvel’s Daredevil”), along with Marvel TV’s
Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,”
“Smallville,” “Heroes”).
“Marvel’s Daredevil” is produced by Marvel
Television in association with ABC Studios for
Netflix.
