Orlando Bloom Could Return for Pirates of the Caribbean 5

Little is known about the upcoming Pirates of
the Caribbean 5, including if it will carry the
previously-announced subtitle “Dead Men Tell No
Tales.” It’s expected that franchise star Johnny
Depp will return, but could we be seeing another
previous cast member show up? Speaking at Oz
Comic Con a few days ago (via Daily Mail), actor
Orlando Bloom revealed that he might return for
the fifth film in the $3 billion franchise.
“There have certainly been some discussions
about it and I’m open to it,” the actor said.
“That whole experience working with Johnny
(Depp) and (director) Gore (Verbinski) was really
amazing for me.”
Last we saw Orlando Bloom’s Will Turner at the
end of 2007′s Pirates of the Caribbean: At
World’s End he was the current captain of The
Flying Dutchman, cursed to spend his life at sea
for ten years at a time before he could return to
land for just one day. Though a post-credit
stinger did tease his eventual return to Keira
Knightley’s Elizabeth and their child, it’s possible
the upcoming film could fill in that ten-year gap.
