Warner Bros. has released the first San Andreas
images online. Dwayne Johnson stars as a
helicopter pilot who must work together with his
ex-wife ( Carla Gugino ) to save their daughter
( Alexandra Daddario ) after a massive Earthquake
strikes Los Angeles. In a USA Today first look
article about the film, Johnson says after the
helicopter crashes, “There’s nothing that I don’t
pilot or drive. We utilize everything we can to get
there. This has big stakes. It’s entertaining and
also has heart.” When Instagramming about the
movie, he also hashtagged it, “SpielbergInspired”,
so maybe director Brad Peyton ( Journey 2: The
Mysterious Island ) will able to capture that tone
for this upcoming disaster flick. We’ll have a
slightly better idea about what they’re going for
when the first trailer is released on Tuesday.
