Disney released a bunch of new images when the
Cinderella trailer dropped a couple of weeks ago
and now the studio is putting six more in the
mix. Kenneth Branagh’s live-action rendition of
the classic tale features Lily James in the title
role and it’s a performance that’s well worth
keeping an eye on. I’ve yet to give Downton
Abbey a go so I’ve missed out on James’ work on
that show, but next year there will be loads of
opportunities to see what she’s capable of. In
addition to Cinderella, she also leads the
adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
as Elizabeth Bennet and there was a report
claiming that she was circling Lone Scherfig ’s
new movie, Their Finest Hour and a Half, as well.
Should Cinderella hit it big, odds are, many more
projects will be added to that list.
