The film is
based on Vera Brittain ’s First World War memoir
of the same name and stars Alicia Vikander as
Vera Brittain herself. Vikander is joined by Game
of Thrones ’ Kit Harington(john snow) who plays her fiancé,
Roland Leighton.
It’s unfortunate that the film’s only got a January
16th UK release at the moment because this new
Testament of Youth international trailer is an
especially moving one. Vikander’s got quite the
commanding on-screen presence and Harington
actually manages to show off more than one
facial expression. The film also stars Taron Egerton,
Emily Watson, Hayley Atwell, Colin Morgan ,
Joanna Scanlan, Alexandra Roach, Jonathan
Bailey, Anna Chancellor, Nicholas Le Prevost ,
Nicholas Farrell , Dominic West and Miranda
Richardson .
