Those first few images from Terminator: Genisys
didn’t go over too well, but a new one just
surfaced. There isn’t much to it and it also isn’t
an official Paramount Pictures release (yet), but
it is far more promising than those ridiculous
looking EW character shots of Emilia Clarke , Jai
Courtney, Jason Clarke and Matt Smith .

Terminator: Genisys image featuring Arnold
Schwarzenegger as the T-800. The film opens on
July 1, 2015 and also stars J.K. Simmons , Dayo
Okeniyi and Byung Hun Lee .
According to TheArnoldFans.com some German
bloggers who were touring Paramount Studios
spotted this promo poster in “a darker corner.”
Clearly there isn’t much to it and it doesn’t even
say Terminator: Genisys anywhere, but if this
really is the T-800 we’re getting in the movie ,
I’m all for it.
Even if you manage to look past the fact that the
whole yelling theme of the EW character images
is downright ridiculous, the tone and color palette
of those shots are still a major problem because
they suggest the filmmakers might be focusing
too much on putting a fresh spin on the material
rather than honoring what made the series so
iconic. Of course this is all just promotional
artwork and we won’t really know what’s coming
until the studio unveils the first trailer, but the
darker, grittier feel to this Arnie poster does spark
more hope after the first look campaign failed to
impress.
