According to
the new promo for The Vampire Diaries Season 6
Episode 8, while Bonnie’s best pals come
together on Thanksgiving Day to laugh, drink, and
be merry, the poor Bennett witch is stuck
celebrating the holiday with psychotic Kai in their
1994 hellhole. (Eating out of dirty jam jars, being
shot at with arrows, and having to deal with his
lies, rage, and pork rind breath? No thanks!) With
that said, at least our sadness and anxiety will be
slightly mollified by other happenings in “Fade
Into You.”
First, Caroline and Elena are hosting a meal at
Whitmore College since they can’t return home to
Mystic Falls, and the place settings at their table
are impeccable. (Vampire Barbie sure loves her
gourd decor.) Second, though newcomers such
as Liv, Luke, Liam, and Jo are invited to this
grand feast, poor Stefan is not. On the one hand
we want to cry because it’s kind of hurtful to
exclude him from the festivities. On the other,
Damon’s reaction to finding out Stefan was
banned from Care Bear’s “Friendsgiving” dinner is
hilarious. Third, the Salvatores won’t be attending
the fancy meal so it doesn’t matter whether they
received an invitation or not; they, along with
Alaric, are heading to Portland to learn more
about the mysterious Gemini coven.
And fifth? As the bro-busters deal with a
supernatural encounter of their own, things get
heated back at the Thanksgiving celebration. The
preview trailer shows Elena telling Liam the truth
about who she is — a sexy-ass vampire to be
precise — and then it flashes to Damon telling her
that Bonnie is alive. The footage also shows
Delena hitting up a local bar where they grab
drinks, chat, and do some casual hand holding.
And that’s not all, folks! We also see Jo doubling
over in sheer agony and clutching her head, and
knowing full well that Kai is her murderous
brother, this scene has us mega worried.
